It’s funny how the long subtitle of this book starts to look more and more prescient every day. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but there’s a word: propinquity. It’s the state of being close to someone or something; proximity. There’s just too many characters in a few square blocks in New Orleans fifty-something-years-ago for something shady NOT to be going on.
