Secret Hitler: A Social Deduction Game
A Game by Goat, Wolf and Cabbage
Game Recommendation by Kevin Kolb
Secret Hitler is a social deduction game in which players are secretly assigned roles as members of either the government or the opposition. The game is set in pre-World War II Germany, and players must use their skills of deception and deduction to uncover the identity of the Secret Hitler and prevent the rise of fascism.
The game is played in rounds, with each round consisting of three phases: policy, presidential, and legislative. In the policy phase, players draw cards that determine which policies will be enacted. In the presidential phase, players nominate a new president and chancellor, who will then pass a policy in the legislative phase.
The goal of the game is for the government players to pass three fascist policies, while the opposition players try to prevent this from happening by passing five liberal policies or by killing the Secret Hitler. The government players must work together to pass fascist policies while keeping their identities hidden, while the opposition players must use their deduction skills to identify and eliminate the Secret Hitler.
Secret Hitler is a highly strategic and immersive game that requires players to think on their feet and outmaneuver their opponents. It is a popular party game that has been praised for its engaging gameplay and historical themes.
