Distress Call (Star Trek II)

by William Rotsler

A recommendation by Kevin Kolb

I can only review this book through the eyes of 12 year old me…

This is a fantastic book!

It doesn’t matter that it’s written for fourth graders. It is the book that introduced me to ‘which way’ adventures so it will always have a place in my heart. I think I may have even bought it at a Scholastic Book Fair.

It doesn’t follow the plot of the movie, it simply uses the images from the film on the cover, so I won’t start the “Which TOS Star Trek movie was best” argument.

<cough> 4 then 2 then 3 then who cares.

It follows the basic Star Trek formula of distress call/beam down/yada yada, but I can’t talk much more about it, not because of spoilers, but because you choose your own adventure as you read through the book.

Copies are hard to come by these days but you can still find them on Amazon and eBay occasionally.
